HANNAH SLOAN has been curating, designing and hosting exhibitions of contemporary art and advising private collections since 2005. She began her career as a director at one of L.A.’s premiere galleries of photography where she worked from 2004 through 2014 before opening her own gallery in 2015 at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. The gallery’s roster is made up of a select group of emerging and mid-career artists whose work is conceptually challenging and technically masterful. Hannah acts as a mentor and advisor to her artists and collectors, helping those on both ends of the art market spectrum, clarify and develop their unique points of view.
In addition to running a gallery program, Hannah has been curating exhibitions in tandem with non-profit organizations like the Motion Picture and Television Fund since 2010. Exquisite, museum-quality arrangements, an eclectic and exciting selection of material from across mediums, and engaging, interactive installations are the hallmarks of these private, high-profile events and long-term, traveling exhibitions.
SLOAN PROJECTS is a gallery program of contemporary art curated by Hannah Sloan. Formerly located at Bergamot Station Art Center, as of April 2017, our rotating exhibitions will be held in distinctive public and private venues around Southern California. We maintain a significant and ever-growing inventory of work in all mediums by both emerging and established artists, which can be viewed by appointment and online. Through our commitment to outreach and discovery of exceptional talent we continue to bring you a vibrant connection to the visual arts through an evolving program and new platforms.
